Bighorn sheep

The Big Horned Sheep is a type of sheep and the name of this sheep comes from the large horns that they have. This sheep lives in North America. The weight of a sheep can be up to 140 kg. the weight of a pair of large horn can be 14 kg. The weight can make anyone realise and visualise how big and heavy the horns are.

There are three subspecies of this sheep, one being endangered.

Characteristics
Usually the male sheep have large horns and they are named because of their unique horns. It is their beauty. The horns are usually more than 30 inches long. The female sheep also have horns but those horns are not as beautiful as compared to the males and also those horns are much shorter and does not have the beautiful curve. The colour variations of this type of sheep is light brown, dark brown or chocolate brown.
